Hongshengsha Station in Huangpu, which is part of the second phase of Guangzhou's Metro Line 7, finishes construction of its main structure.

Hongshengsha Station in Huangpu district of Guangzhou's Metro Line 7 has recently finished construction of its main structure. It is the first station on the second phase of the metro line to do so, laying a solid foundation for further construction of the project.

Hongshengsha Station, which is the forth station of the whole line, connects Changzhou Station and Yufengwei Station. It is a three-floor underground station.

The station is located on Hongshengsha Island, the marine outfall of the Pearl River. The island is not connected with other areas by roads, making the whole construction more difficult in terms of transporting workers, materials, and equipment since transportation could only be done on ships.

The second phase of Metro Line 7 is 22 kilometers long and has 11 stations, of which seven are transfer stations, allowing people to transfer to other lines including metro lines 13, 5, 19, 6, and 21.

The operation of the second phase of Metro Line 7 is expected to meet the transportation needs in east Guangdong and make contributions to the integrated development of Guangzhou and Foshan.
