Huangpu tax bureau contributes to improve local business environment

Huangpu's tax bureau has launched various measures to help the district establish a better business environment in recent years, making breakthroughs in areas like simplifying processes and relieving local companies' tax burden.

Currently, a total of 1,134 tax issues can be handled online, covering eight fields spanning declaration and tax payment, tax services, as well as invoice management.

All taxes and fees in Huangpu can be completely declared online and more than 98 percent of the local tax issues have been handled through online platforms.

The Guangzhou tax bureau has jointly launched a paperless system for tax withdraws with the Guangzhou branch of the People's Bank of China, shortening the time period for tax withdraws to two to three days.

The Huangpu tax bureau has also made full use of the preferential policies in taxation as the new tax withdrawing amount occurred in the first 11 months of 2019 has reached 11.3 billion yuan ($1.6 billion).

During the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the local tax bureau has offered round-the-clock service on taxes seven days a week for 159 local companies that are producing supplies used in epidemic prevention and control efforts.
