All GDD medical institutions to use e-bills by end of year

All medical institutions in Guangzhou Development District (GDD) will use financial electronic bills by the end of 2020, the finance bureau of GDD announced on March 9.

The use of financial electronic bills has played a positive role during the control and prevention of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, which is named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The whole process of issuing electronic bills, including distribution and receiving, requires no face to face contact and has put an end to the possibility of paper bills as a carrier of communication.

Currently, a total of 14 public medical institutions have applied financial electronic bills and the annual number of bills issued is expected to be about 5.23 million.
