South Korean manufacturing giant LG Group has invested in three major projects in GDD with an overall investment of $13 billion.

LG has invested in the company's first large-scale 8.5-generation OLED production line overseas in GDD, which boasts the most advanced production facilities.

Lee Dong-eun, general manager of LG Display, received the donations on behalf of the company and expressed his gratitude for the district's support.

"The company will keep making contributions to the economic growth of GDD," said Lee.

In addition, GDD has offered support for LG Display to resume operations, such as offering manufacturing materials and nucleic acid detection for employees since the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia, which is named by WHO as COVID-19.

Currently, the company has realized a return-to-work rate of 90 percent.

A work group has been set up in GDD to help South Korean companies fight the epidemic, while supplies for the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control have also been donated to the Chinese headquarters of Hyundai Motor Group.
