People's Daily: Huangpu launches online job recruitment services

Huangpu's employment administration center has launched online recruitment services, allowing people to search for job opportunities at home during the COVID-19 outbreak, People's Daily reported on Feb 27.

Huangpu district has devoted efforts in helping those companies who are facing labor shortages by hiring workers from industries that have suspended operation.

Since the end of the Spring Festival, Huangpu has helped more than 6,000 people who used to work in places like hotels and restaurants to find new work opportunities at factories in Huangpu.

Guangzhou Xiangxue Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (XPH), one of the major companies in Guangzhou for epidemic prevention supplies, has been operating 24 hours a day since Jan 24. However, the company has faced trouble in hiring workers during the Spring Festival.

"Huangpu district has helped us to find more than 150 workers during the most difficult time," said Huang Weihua, director of personnel administration of XPH.
