Community flower fairs entertain Huangpu locals

Visitors can buy pets like rabbits at the fair of Changzhou community.

Apart from the Huangpu Flower Fair, three flower fairs at local communities have been opened in the district to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival.

The fair of Changzhou community, running from Jan 18 to Jan 24, is located near the Memorial Museum of 1911 Revolution.

It has set up stalls selling a variety of goods, such as flowers, handicrafts, and Spring Festival couplets. One highlight is that people can also buy pets like rabbits there.

Lasting for 10 days, the flower fair of Changling community opened on Jan 15, displaying different kinds of flowers and bonsais. The event will close on Jan 24 at 21:00.

Compared with other flower fairs, the one held in Changling is scheduled to stage performances every day themed around intangible cultural heritages like lion dances and dragon dances.

For those who want to enjoy a sip of wine during the holiday, the flower fair held at Xiagang community from Jan 20 to Jan 24 may be a good choice, as wines from all over the world are on display here.
