Construction of Fenghuang Lake, one of the artificial lakes in the Science City in Guangzhou's Huangpu district, started in August 2011 and the surrounding park opened to the public in October 2014.

The park, about 900 meters long and 600 meters in width, covers an area of 476 mu (37.73 hectares), including 238.77 mu of water area.

It consists of a ring road, a river, two lakes, three islands and six bridges, forming the landscape of a water town.

Green spaces and flowers help to create an ideal atmosphere for residents to relax as they follow the changes in color with the seasons.
