Nanwan water town, also known as the "little Zhouzhuang" in Guangzhou, is a popular destination for many producers for shooting of TV series and films.

Located in the Huangpu district, Nanwan water town is a land of water, surrounded and divided by lakes and rivers.

At the entrance to the town, there are the Panlong Bridge and the Cailong Bridge, which are hailed at the Twin Bridges of Guangzhou's "little Zhouzhuang" .

Zhouzhuang, an iconic water town in East China's Jiangsu province, is a hit destination for global visitors.

The 25-meter Wenchang Tower was built in 1840 and is considered a symbol of literature. The first, second and third floors are dedicated respectively to the legendary deity of imperial examinations and literary affairs, the god of wealth and the deity in charge of learning in Chinese mythology. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The tower has a sharp top and there are holes on each floor. The holes on the top floor are round.

The layout of the Nanwan village is quite delicate. The square in front of the ancestral hall is compared to a "paper" and the pond is compared to "ink", and the tower is metaphorized as a "pen", all of which were common stationery in the old times.

Most of the streets and lanes are well preserved. The 300-meter-long Nanyue Avenue is the most famous one. It was paved with granite blocks and has ancient houses standing on both sides.
