Yangcheng Evening News: Huangpu Port Economic Zone unveils its new plan

Huangpu district is seeking public opinions on the latest plan of the Huangpu Port Economic Zone. If the plan is approved, many existing ports will be widened in space and a lot of industrial land will be transformed into commercial land.

The Pearl River side land to the east of Yuzhu at the junction of the Tianhe district and to the west of Nangang in included in the latest publicized control plan for the Huangpu Port Economic Zone (Southern Region) issued by the Huangpu Branch of the Guangzhou Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, except the Xiagang area south of Huangjiao River.

Most of the logistics land and industrial land to the east of Yuzhu and to the west of Huangpu Bridge will be planned as commercial land. It is expected that on the above-mentioned land, just like the other riverside land in Guangzhou, commercial buildings will be built.

When it came to riverside land and commercial buildings, many citizens expressed concern about the wall effect. According to the plan, Huangpu district intends to increase the open space in the riverside area to avoid the wall effect.

It also shows that 31.91 hectares of greenbelt will be increased on the land included in the plan, the agricultural and forestry land will increase by 88.42 hectares, the water area will increase by 39.91 hectares, and open space will increase by 128.83 hectares.
