Qualified high-level talents who are employed in designated units in Huangpu district can enjoy preferential rental policies.

High-level talents refers to outstanding professionals, heads of famous schools (parks), teachers, medical experts and Huangpu craftsmen recognized by the district talent work leading group.

The new rental policies apply to the spouses and minor children of the qualified high-level talents if they do not have their own houses in Huangpu and currently do not enjoy preferential policies such as Guangzhou municipal talent apartments and public rental housing.

Talents themselves can apply for a set of self-occupied housing of no more than 150 square meters and a maximum rent subsidy of 100 percent for five years on a family basis.

Undergraduates are divided into basic talents, including people with full-time undergraduate and above education backgrounds and bachelor's and above degrees (including returned overseas students graduated from overseas institutions of higher learning recognized by the Ministry of Education), or with intermediate or above titles, or with national vocational qualification level II or above skill levels, as well as senior management and technical experts of enterprises selected by the district human resources and social security department.

For basic talents, the trial measures stipulate that if the spouses and minor children of the qualified basic talents do not have their own houses in Huangpu, and currently do not enjoy similar preferential policies, talents themselves can apply for a set of self-occupied housing with no more than 90 square meters and a maximum rent subsidy of 50 percent for two years.

People with full-time undergraduate backgrounds and bachelor's degrees who work in key enterprises such as high-tech enterprises within the Guangzhou Development Zone of Huangpu District of Guangzhou City, top 100 enterprises contributing to local economic development in the district, research and development institutions above the provincial level, and government public service departments or approved people working in other units can apply for a set of self-occupied housing with no more than 60 square meters and a maximum rent subsidy of 50 percent for two years.
