Youth venture contest launched in Huangpu

The 6th Guangdong Youth Innovation and Venture Contest and the 2nd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation and Venture Contest were held on April 10.

From April to September the contest will be judged by a three-stage promotion system of preliminary events, semi-finals and finals.

All the participating projects will have the opportunity to win a million-yuan ($150,000) reward, preferential landing policies, access to local capital by being named a China Youth Gem, professional entrepreneurship training and other benefits.

At the launching ceremony, the "Youth Helps Vitalize the Countryside" Program for Promoting Action for Employment and Entrepreneurship of Rural Youth in Guangdong Province was also announced.

It will identify 1,000 entrepreneurship projects in a year, focusing on cultivating 40leadingones to help 8,000 young people start their own businesses and find jobs.
