Huangpu trains talents for blockchain

Huangpu district announced the revised edition of ten policies of blockchain on March 28, saying that it will apply more funds to support of blockchains and related industries.

Talents and professionals who are hired in the blockchain industry in the district will receive housing benefits and subsidies.

The ten policies stipulate the support in financing, innovation, talent training, platforms and facilities which the previous policies did not cover.

According to the policies, the district will set up a blockchain leading industries park that incubates 1-3 leading enterprises in the industry every year, giving subsides to the enterprises with R&D investment over 20 million yuan ($2.98 million); each enterprise can receive a maximum subsidy of 10 million yuan per year.

The policies aim at not only introducing but also training talents for the blockchain industry. It will launch a talent training project each year to train 20 senior presidents, 30 chief operating officers, 100 chief technology officers and 1,000 practitioners.

It encourages overseas and domestic universities and professional institutions to establish talent training bases that will be given up to 1 million yuan per year.

The policies also emphasize the introduction of high-level technological talents in the industry. The approved talents can not only have priority to live in talent apartments but also get subsidies of 3,000 yuan per person per month for a maximum term of three years.
