National economic park of Xiqu Industrial Park: Guangzhou Bonded Logistics Park

Approved by the State Council, Guangzhou Bonded Logistics Park was established in Guangzhou Bonded Zone in December 2007 with a planned area of 0.5 square kilometers. It is linked with the adjacent Huangpu New Port to integrate the functions and policies of the Bonded Logistics Park and the port. In December 2008, the Bonded Logistics Park began to operate; since then it has served nearly 2,000 companies in more than 10 provinces and cities, and reduced the logistics costs of the companies by about 50 percent. Products and raw materials of the large-scale key enterprises in the development district such as LG LCD no longer need to be exported to Hong Kong.

All the 128 logistics enterprises in the Bonded Logistics Park have generated a total value of 87.4 billion US dollars in imported and exported goods since the park’s establishment in 2007. In 2017 alone, the total value of the goods imported to and exported from the Park was 11.3 billion US dollars, up 23.4 percent year-on-year.
